Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2002

Ardyce Briggs, 68, of Ionia died Tues., April 23, 2002.  Mrs. Briggs was born 
July 25, 1933 in Eaton  County, the daughter of Shirley and Hermina (Zemke) 
Southern.  She loved to sew for her family and friends and loved playing 
bridge..

She is survived by her husband, James; sons, Rodney (Ronda), Bradley (Gailene), 
Dennis (Vicki) and Scott Briggs all of Ionia; daughters, Teressa Briggs and 
Chris (Kim) Rowley of Ionia; Karen (Rich) Taylor of Byron Center; 14 
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jean Hadden of Wayland 
and Barbara Ann (Charles) Wilson of Williamston; aunt, Elizabeth Stowe of 
Ionia; and brother-in-law, Nyle (Judy) Briggs of Battle Creek.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte.  
Visitation was on Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home.  Friends and 
family are invited to a luncheon 1:30 p.m., Friday at the Ionia Moose Lodge, 
869 E. Lincoln Avenue (M-21) in Ionia.  If desired, contributions may be made 
to the family for future designation.
