Lyons Herald, 3 Sep 1908

Died at his home in Pewamo, Sunday, August 30th, Lyman S. Briggs, aged 59 years.

Deceased had been ill since last October.  He was born in Yates county, New 
York in May, 1849, and moved to Pewamo in 1869.  He was married July 3, 1876, 
to Miss Jennie Murray, who with a son George H. Briggs of Remus survive him.  
He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. G.V. Roscoe of Goshen, Ind., Mrs. 
Mary Conroy of Lyons, Mrs. L. Sherman of Ionia.

The funeral was held Tuesday at the M.E. Church, Pewamo, Rev. H. E. Wylie 
officiating.  Interment in East Plains cemetery.
