Lyons Herald, 10 Jan 1907

Geo. G. Briggs was born in Scarar N.Y. September 7, 1822, and died December 19, 
1906 at his home with Geo. Almy, aged 84 years.  He was married to Margaret A. 
Inscho  in 1848 and in 1869 they came to Michigan and settled in Pewamo, which 
was his home up to the past two years.  The following children survive him: 
Lyman Briggs of Pewamo, Mrs. Mary Conroy of Lyons, Mrs. Georgiana Sherman of 
Ionia, and Mrs. Rebecca Roscoe of Goshen, Ind.

Funeral was held from the home of Geo. Almy December 21, 1906, Rev. Wylie 
officiating.  Pall-bearers were his four grandsons, Geo. Almy Jr., Lyman Almy, 
George Briggs of Remus, and Elmer Almy.
