The Ionia County News, Thursday, November 18, 1926

Mrs. Clara Jane Briggs, 67, former resident of this city, died last Friday 
morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harriett Mathews, Grand Rapids.  The 
funeral was held from the Bradley undertaking rooms here on Monday afternoon, 
with Rev. Joseph H. Green, pastor of the Presbyterian church, in charge.  
Interment was made at Oak Hill cemetery.  She is survived by three daughters, 
Mrs. Briggs, at whose home she died, Mrs. Mary Auble, Caledonia, and Mrs. 
Addie Bennett.
