Ionia Daily Sentinel – 7 October 1963
Frederick D. Briggs, 75, formerly of Ionia, died Saturday at Ypsilanti where 
he had resided since his retirement in 1955.  He had been ill the past year 
and a half.  Mr. Briggs was former owner of Riverside greenhouse and was 
employed as janitor at Jefferson elementary school from 1950 to 1955 when he 
retired.  Funeral service will be at 10:30 am Tuesday at Moore funeral home in 
Ypsilanti with interment at Balcom cemetery at 3 pm.
