Ionia Sentinel Standard, 30 Sep 1940

Mrs. Mary Jane Briggs, 84 died at her home in Kalamazoo Sunday afternoon at 2
o’clock after a weeks illness.  She was a former Ionia resident, and was born in
Ionia county.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jessie Fowl of Woodland and Mrs. Blanche
Rawlator, of Grand Rapids. 

Funeral services will be held from the Boynton funeral home on Rich street
Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock.  Interment will be at the Balcom cemetery.
