Excerpts from Lansing Obituary

MARILYN M. BRIGGS-PENGEL
Died August 7, 2021-age 89 of Portland
Marilyn enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, canning, playing cards, helping 
family and friends, but mostly time with family.
Preceded in death by 1st husband, Kenneth Briggs and second husband, Herbert 
"Carroll" Pingel; brothers, Gordon, Gerald and Richard Dunn; her sister, Ruth 
Chapman; daughter-in-law, Carol Ann Briggs.
Surviving are her children,Eric (Birdie Denise) Briggs, Susan Briggs and 
Timothy(Regina) Briggs; grandchildren, Kristin (Joseph) Ciaramella, Joshua 
Briggs, Kenneth (Jessie Neilson) Keel, Joseph Briggs, Jesse (Kendra) Briggs, and 
Shelly (Benjamin) Fuller; 6 great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at North Eagle Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to North Eagle Cemetery Society, 5772 Kenney 
Drive, Six Lakes, MI 48886 or to Sparrow Hospice, 1210 W. Saginaw St., Lansing, 
MI 48910 in memory of Marilyn.
