Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 5 May 1951

G. Burdette Brigham, 71 of North Plains died of a heart attack in his car 
Friday about 5:00 p.m. while en route home from Ionia.  He had been in ill 
health for the past few months.

Brigham was a lifelong resident and prominent farmer.

He was born September 25, 1879 in North Plains township, son of Mr. and Mrs. 
Keene Brigham.  He was married February 8, 1900 to Lottie Ely.  They celebrated 
their golden wedding anniversary last year.  He was a life member of Lyons F. 
and A.M. and a member of the Ancient Order of Gleaners.

Surviving besides the wife, Lottie, is a daughter, Mrs. Lila Urtel of Alma and 
a granddaughter of Detroit.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1:00 p.m. from the family home by 
the Rev. Court O. Adams of the Church of Christ.  Interment will be in North 
Plains cemetery.
