Brimmer, 70, 11345 S. Greenville Road, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at his residence. He was born June 9, 1931, in Smyrna, the son of Clarence W. and Thelma Cole Brimmer. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and a life member of Olsen-Kiste VFW Post 4406, Belding. He is survived by his wife, Inez Miller Brimmer of Belding; two sons, John Brimmer of Lapeer, Russell Brimmer of Fort Stockton, Texas; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Vivian Sietler of Ionia, Carrie and Jack Eyer, Myrtle Van Conant, all of Greenville, Florence and Robert Caines of Waco, Texas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Myrlene Brimmer of Port Richey, Fla., Gary Lee and Ilas Brimmer of Belding; two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Peggy and James Beebe of Big Rapids, Carol and Steven Wood of Lynchburg, Va.; two brothers-in-law, James Miller, Ernest and Shelby Miller, all of Tennessee; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Huffman Funeral Home, Belding, with Bishop David Tichelaar officiating. Interment will be in River Ridge Cemetery, Belding. Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the George Brimmer family.
