Brimmer, 67, Ionia old age (unreadable word) was found dead at his home at 325 Webber street at 2 p.m. Monday when Bernard Vogt of the Bureau of Social Aid stopped to pay him a visit. Coroner Harry Myers said death was due to a heart attack and estimated he had been dead about eight hours. Vogt made the discovery when he went up to the house, got no response to his knocks, and saw Brimmer through the screen door sitting slumped in a chair. Finding the door locked he summoned Peter VanVleck, chief deputy sheriff, who came with George Cowels, Clarksville deputy sheriff. Brimmer was born October 18, 1880, in Lakeview, and came to Ionia in 1914. He worked for a time at the Ypsilanti Reed Furniture company, and was also a farmer. He is survived by eight children, Floyd of Union City, Fred of California, Keith of Muir, LaVon of Muir, Rose Mary of Belding, Mrs. Richard Trevith of Flint and Mrs. Wayne Booth of Ionia. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Myers funeral home with the Rev. Wayne Davis officiating. Brimmer, 67, who was found dead of a heart attack at his home at 325 Webber street Monday, were held from the Myers funeral home Thursday afternoon. The Rev. Wayne Davis officiated. Interment was in Blanchard cemetery. Bearers were Floyd Brimmer, Keith Brimmer, Robert F. Brimmer, Kenneth Sheldon, Wayne Booth and Richard Trevithick. The only relative attending from away was Ollie Townsend of Six Lakes.
