Ionia Sentinel - Standard
George W. Brisbin, 83, formerly of Coats Grove, now of Battle Creek, died 
Wednesday evening at the Arrowwood nursing center in Battle Creek.  He was born 
May 26, 1893 in Lake Odessa, the son of Charles and Augustus Woodard Brisbin.  
He lived many years in the Coats Grove area where he was in the garage business.  
His wife, Ivah, preceded him in death December 15, 1974.  Two sons also preceded 
him in death, Don Neil died in the service during WWII and Shannon died in the 
Korean conflict.

He is survived by five sons; Glenn, Nelson, Kenneth and Roy of Battle Creek and 
Robert of Hastings; two daughters; Mrs. Anita Curtis of Delton and Mrs. Nina 
Ragsdale of Colorado Springs, Col.; 24 grandchildren; and 16 great 
grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 11 am at the Pickens-Koops funeral chapel in Lake 
Odessa with burial at the Fuller Cemetery.
