Marion A. Britton, a well known business man of Pewamo, died at his home 
Tuesday, January 9, after an illness of over a year.  The funeral was held from 
the Baptist Church Friday under the auspices of Pewamo Lodge F.&A.M., the 
remains being taken to Tecumseh for burial.

Deceased was born at Amboy, Hillsdale county, Michigan, July 23, 1857, and 
moved to Pewamo in September, 1890, where he engaged in business.  On January 
3, 1888, he was united in marriage to Miss Carrie Satterthwaite at Ft. Wayne, 
Indiana, who survives him.

Mr. Britton was one of the influential men of his village and township, having 
held several offices of honor and trust, the duties of which he always 
performed with ability and honor.
