Ionia Sentinel Standard, 3 Jan 1974

Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Broad will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the
Myers-Roetman funeral home.  Interment will be at Balcom cemetery.  Mrs. Broad,
72, of 3733 Stage road died December 31 in Florida.  She was born May 22, 1902
on the family centennial farm in Ionia township, the daughter of Delbert and Eva
Myers.

She was a graduate of Ionia high school and was married November 8, 1921, to
Clare Broad who died December 13, 1972.

She was a member of the First Christian church and the Order of Eastern Star of
Grand Haven, Ionia Senior Citizens, Ionia Garden club, Minnie Howard club, and
Bethany circle of the church.

Surviving is a brother, Harry Myers of Ionia.

A memorial has been established for the First Christian church.
