Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 3 Jul 1936

Mrs. Frances Broad, 73, died at the home of her son Alfred at St. Paul, Minn.,
Thursday evening.  She was the widow of James Broad, of Orleans, who preceded
her in death 12 years ago.  Mrs. Broad was in in Detroit.  She received her
education there and moved to Ionia at the time of her marriage to James Broad,
where she had lived until the death of her husband.

She is survived by two sons, Alfred, of St. Paul, Minn., and Cleon of Detroit;
three brothers Arthur, of Detroit, William of California, and Harry of Ionia;
one sister, Mrs. Judd Smith, of Owosso.

The body will arrive in Ionia Saturday and funeral services will be held Monday
afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Stone funeral home and the burial will be in
Highland Park cemetery.
