Sentinel-Standard - Thursday, Dec. 14, 1961

Graveside service will be held at Highland Park cemetery Friday at 1:30 p.m. 
for Alfred J. Broad, 75, who died Tuesday at St. Paul, Minn.

He was a retired superintendent and foreman of the boiler shop for Chicago 
Northwestern Railroad where he was employed 50 years.

He is survived by one son, Alfred of St. Paul, and three grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Wednesday at Kessler and Maguire funeral home in St. 
Paul.

The body will arrive at Myers funeral home Friday morning and may be seen after 
10 a.m. There will be no services at the funeral home. Committal service will 
be conducted at the cemetery by Rev. Theodore Timler, pastor of St. Johns 
Lutheran church.
