Ionia Sentinel – 26 September 1966
Mrs. Ida C. Broadbent, 66, a resident of Center Street, Lowell, died Sunday 
morning at 8:45 at Ionia Manor.  She was born December 28, 1899 in Boston 
Township the daughter of Mr.  and Mrs. Sven Johnson.  August 1, 1923 she was 
married in Boston Township to Fred Broadbent who died in April, 1961.  Since 
that time she has resided in Lowell where she was a member of the Nazarene 
church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William Wieland of Clarksville and Mrs. John 
Pearce of Ionia; one son, Fred, Jr., of Chicago; 23 grandchildren; and a 
sister, Mrs. Albert Johnson of Battle Creek.

The body will be Pickens funeral chapel in Clarksville until Tuesday morning 
when it will be taken to Clarksville Bible church where services will be at 
1:30 pm.  Rev. W. E. Weaver will officiate and burial will be in South Boston 
Cemetery.
