When eight years of age she moved with her parents to Union Springs N.J., where she became acquainted with Mr. Brock and the two grew up as play mates together and were married February 23, 1831. She was next to the youngest of eleven children, surviving all of them, and being the oldest at the time of her death. The family came to Michigan in 1864, moved to Ionia county at Muir in 1869, and became residents of this city in 1879. The deceased has been a lifelong member of the Methodist Episcopal church, her constant christian life has ever been in accord with her profession.
