At the age of one year her parents moved to Odessa township Ionia Co. She was married to Robert Brock of Odessa, in 1890 and lived there until 1907, when they bought a farm in West Keene, later moving to a farm at Potter’s Corners where Mr. Brock passed away. Mrs. Brock was a member of the Lake Odessa Rebekah lodge and a life member of the Lake Odessa O.E.S. She spent her last Christmas at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Clark Adams in Saranac and was taken ill a few days later at the home of her sister, Mrs. J.A. Spoon of Rockford, and passed away January 3. She leaves her daughter, Mrs. Clayton L. Cahoon of Wayne, two grand daughters, Mrs. Clark Adams and Miss Carolyn Cahoon of Ionia, two great-grand children, two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Runyon of Lake Odessa and Mrs. Spoon of Rockford, and two brothers, William Cox of Lake Odessa and Frank Cox of Kirkland Washington. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday from the Pickens funeral home at Lake Odessa, with interment at the Lake Odessa cemetery. Bearers were Clayton Cahoon of Wayne, Warren Bennett of Rockford, Leo Runyan of Lake Odessa, Clare Runyan of Holt, Richard Robinson of East Lansing and Clarke Adams of Saranac. Rev. Paterson of Lake Odessa officiated at the services.
