                                VERNON C. BROCK

LAKE ODESSA-Vernon C. Brock, 60, of Lake Odessa, died Feb. 9 at his residence.

He was born Oct. 29 1926, in Odessa township, the son of Abraham and Jennie 
Begerow Brock.

He attended the Lake Odessa schools.

He was a mechanic for Lapo Chevrolet in Lake Odessa for 15 years and worked at 
the Lakewood Public Schools garage for 24 years.

He served in the U.S. Navy for three years during World War II.

He was a past member of the Lake Odessa Fire Department.

Surviving are his wife, Beulah; one daughter, Mrs.Stephen (Susan)Newcombe of 
Lake Odessa; three step-sons,James Reese, Carl Reese and Michael Reese, all of 
Lake Odessa; three step-daughters, Betty Soule, Dawn Reese, both of Lake Odessa, 
and Penny Gould of Greenville; two grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two 
brothers, Glendon and Dale, both of Lake Odessa; two sisters,Opal Brock of 
Lansing and Madeline Hoffman of Lansing.

One brother, Howard preceded him in death July 24, 1976.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake 
Odessa, the Rev. Ward Pierce officiating.

Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa.

Memorials may be given to the Charity of one's choice.

The family will be at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 
p.m.
