Harold was born on April 8, 1936 in Portland, MI to Gilbert and Gladah (Leak) Brock. Harold graduated from Woodland High School in 1954 and went on to served his country in the United States Air Force from 1956-1959 and in the reserves until 1962. He worked as machinist, welder, crane operator, and mechanic at Planet Corporation and Anderson Mobile Crane before spending the bulk of his working career at the eventually retiring form Clark Foundation in Lansing where he headed up the shop crew responsible for maintaining the heavy equipment to keep things running. He married Pamela (Long) in 1965 and together spent almost 50 years raising their two daughters Jeri and Linda and hopelessly spoiling several fur kids. In years past, Harold enjoyed ATA trapshooting making it to the 26 yard line after jumping three yards at an offsite handicap shoot at the Grand American. When not working, Harold enjoyed woodworking, fishing, traveling the U.S. by RV, restoring antique Old Town wood canoes, and restoring and rebuilding antique outboard motors. After retiring, he spent a summer making new kitchen cupboards in his workshop and then took Pam on an epic RV trip to Alaska. After losing Pam in 2014, he returned to clark Foundation part-time to fill his days and worked another five years until he started feeling the effects of Parkinson's. Harold will be forever missed by daughters, Jeri and Linda; grandkids, Olivia, Cammy and Jellybean, and numerous nieces and nephews in the Brock and Long clans. He joins in death his wife Pam, parents, Gilbert & Gladah (Leak) Brock, and sister, Anita Marie (Roy) Bauer.
