Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 21 Sep 1959

Funeral arrangements are being made by Phelps funeral chapel for Mrs. Lucille B.
Brockman who died at noon Monday at the Ionia County Memorial hospital.  She had
been a patient at the hospital since September 9 at had been in ill health for
several months.

She was born December 3, 1911 at Highland Park the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M.G.
Schmitt.  While an infant she moved with her parents to Dildine and attended the
Grove rural school and SS Peter and Paul academy.  In 1931 she married Vernon
Brockman and they have lived at 508 Jones street since that time.

Besides her husband, Vern, she is survived by a son, Thomas of Ionia; two
daughters, Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Duell of Flint, and Jenny at home; her mother,
Mrs. Kate Schmitt of Ionia, and three grandchildren.
