IN REMEMBRANCE OF MRS.EMANUEL BRODBECK
                                   OBITUARY
Mrs. Cathrine Helena Brodbeck, nee Wonderlich, was born December 24, 1866, in 
Woodland, Michigan, and in infancy as brought to the Lord Jesus in body baptism. 
At the proper age she was carefully instructed in the saving truth of God's Word 
and upon the confession of her faith was confirmed by the sainted Rev. C Adam in 
Zion Lutheran Church April 8, 1881.

On the 19th day of November 1890, she was united in holy wedlock to Mr.Emanel 
Brodbeck and went to housekeeping on the Michael Brodbeck farm near Woodbury 
where she resided the remainder of her life. God blessed this union with five 
children, three son and two daughters, one daughter having preceded the mother 
in death.

The deceased had been under the care of her physician for a number of years, but 
most of that time she was able to attend to her household duties and lately her 
condition seemed to be  improving. Upon retiring last Sunday evening she did not 
rest well and repeatedly called on her husband to assist her. Finally she 
attempted to raise up in her bed and when Mr. Brodbeck came to her assistance 
she passed away in his arms last Monday morning at 2:15.

She leaves to mourn her departure her aged and bereaved husband, Mr Emanuel 
Brodbeck, three sons, Paul, Luther and Carl of this vicinity and one daughter, 
Mrs Regina Benner of Milford, Ill., two brothers, George of Kalamazoo and Hugo 
of Hastings, Michigan, three sisters, Mrs. Bar____ R_____ of Lincoln, Nebraska, 
Mrs, Minnie Long of Hastings and Mrs. Emma  Wolf of Battle Creek, also 10 
grandchildren and a large number of distant relatives and friends. Her age 
amounts to 66 years, seven months and six days.
