EMANUEL BRODBECK DIES AT AGE OF 81
Emanuel Brodbeck, a pioneer of north Woodland, passed away at his home Monday 
afternoon at the age of 81 years. He helped clear the wilderness and was one of 
the early church officials of the Zion Lutheran church. He died on the farm on 
which he was born and where he had spent his entire life. His wife died in July 
of 1933.

Surviving are one daughter Mrs.G.F. Benner, and three sons, Paul D., Luther M., 
and Carl A., 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 1:30 at the late home and 2 at Zion Luther church 
Thursday afternoon in charge of the pastor and the Rev.Paul Geiger with the Rev. 
Edward J.Nest of Wilmington giving the sermon. Burial will be in Lakeside 
cemetery.
