The Hastings Reminder, Tuesday, February 3, 1981
Mrs. Joan J. Brodbeck, 44, of Jordan Road, died Saturday, January 31, 1981 at 
Pennock Hospital.  She was born May 20, 1936 in Odessa Township, the daughter 
of Kenneth and Ivah (Bushnell) Jackson.  She was a graduate of Lake Odessa 
High School in 1954.  She married David Brodbeck on April 2, 1955 in 
Woodland.  She had been employed by Lake Odessa Machine Products for several 
years and for the last nine years by Lakewood High School.  She was a member 
of Zion Lutheran Church of Woodland.

Mrs. Brodbeck is survived by her husband, David; four daughters, Mrs. Jerry 
(Betty) Bennett and Barbara Brodbeck, both of Lake Odessa, Nancy Brodbeck at 
home, and Mrs. Carl (Gloria) Miller of Holt; one son, Kenneth at home; her 
mother, Mrs. Ivah Jackson of Lake Odessa; one brother, Lester Jackson of Lake 
Odessa; three sisters, Mrs. Ben (Doris) McCaul of Lake Odessa, Mrs. Arnold 
(Beverly) Raffler of Woodland, and Mrs. Joe (Bonnie) Dromboski of Jenison; and 
one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday February 3, from the 
Lakewood United Methodist Church with Rev. Einer Unseth, Rev. James Hulett, 
officiating.  Burial will be in Woodland Memorial Park.  Memorial 
contributions may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church.  Arrangements were made 
by the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel of Lake Odessa.
