The Ionia County News, Thursday, December 31, 1959
Mrs. Alice L. Brodbeck, 49,  of Route 3, Lake Odessa, a prominent Lake Odessa 
resident, died Christmas morning, December 25 at her home, Brodbeck acres.  
She had been ill for several months.  Born April 13, 1910 in Woodland 
Township, Barry County, she was the daughter of Frank and Bertha Signs Smith.

Surviving are her husband, Carl, and several cousins.

Funeral service was held Monday, December 28, at the Pickens Funeral Home with 
the Rev. Robert Richardson officiating.  Interment was in Lakeside Cemetery.
