Born November 9, 1898, in Syracuse, N.Y., he was the son of Jay and Harrot Wheeler Broga. He was a veteran of World War I with the army, captain in the national guard, Cadillac unit, and was a member of the Ionia Masonic lodge. He opened the Michigan Employment service in Ionia, retiring about eight years ago. He was a member of the mother church, First Church of Christian Science, Boston, Mass. Surviving besides the wife, Irene, are a son, Russell J. of Greenville; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Hitt of Virginia Beach, Va., and Mrs. James Potter of Durand; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. A memorial has been established for the Ionia Masonic lodge. Mr. Broga may be seen at the Myers-Roetman funeral home after 10 a.m. Saturday. The family members will be at the funeral home Saturday and Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Myers-Roetman funeral home. Interment will be at the Easton cemetery.
