She was getting dinner, and had turned on the gasoline and lighted the stove, and probably forgot to turn off the fluid. It ran over the floor and caught fire; soon Mrs. Brogan's clothes caught in her feet and she was quickly a mass of flames. She ran out of doors screaming and fell upon the porch. Every particle of clothing was burned from her body, which was scorched from head to foot so that the skin all pealed off. The accident occurred at 11:30 o'clock and she died at 8 o'clock in the evening. Mrs. Brogan was 58 years of age, the wife of James Brogan, a section "boss" on the Detroit, Lansing & Northern railroad. Additional Comments: Mt.
