Leon Bromberg of Charlotte, former resident of Orange Township, Ionia County, 
died at his home Friday morning, March 1.  He suffered a heart attack last 
fall and about four weeks ago became ill of flu.  Mr. Bromberg was born near 
Vermontville in 1870.  He was married in 1891 to Miss Florence Jordan, of 
Orange, and they later moved to Vermontville.  At the time of his death he was 
treasurer of the Eaton-Barry County Farmers’ Insurance Company.

Surviving is the widow; two nieces, of Portland, Mrs. Edwin Buck, who is 
spending the winter in Florida, and Mrs. Arthur Nunnely; one sister-in-law, 
Miss Veda Jordan, Orange Township and three brothers-in-law, Chauncey Jordan, 
Orange Township, and Edgar Davenport and George L. Jordan, Ionia Township.  
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock in Charlotte.  Mr. and 
Mrs. George L. Jordan, Ionia Township, Chauncey and Veda Jordan, Orange 
Township, Edgar Davenport, Mrs. Laurence Croel and Mrs. Hattie Taft attended 
the funeral.
