Hastings Reminder – 18 August 1998
Floyd H. Bronson, age 69, of Lake Odessa, passed away after a long illness on 
Thursday, August 13, 1998.  He was born February 27, 1929 in Eaton Rapids, the 
son of Joseph and Mary (Ramey) Bronson.  He married Lorraine Crittenden on 
August 12, 1950 in Angola, Indiana.  He was a member of the Woodland Eagles, 
and he also served as a fire fighter for the Lake Odessa Fire Department for 
25 years, the last few years as a photographer.  He was preceded in death by 
his daughter, Erin Elaine Bronson; and sister, Betty Bryner.

Mr. Bronson is survived by his wife, Lorraine; daughters, Diane King of Lake 
Odessa, Deborah (Kris) Lapham of Lowell, Kathy (Lee) Linscott of Lake Odessa, 
Patti Rice of Lake Odessa, Lisa Begerow and her friend, Ted Hyatt of 
Nashville; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Gephart of 
Grand Ledge; brother, Raymond Bronson of Grand ledge; and many nieces and 
nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, August 17, 1998 at Lakewood United 
Methodist Church.  Reverend Ward Pierce officiated.  Interment took place at 
Lakeside Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 
Lakewood Community Ambulance, or Lake Odessa Fire Department.  Arrangements 
were made by Koops Funeral Chapel.
