I. Bronson, for the past three years superintendent of schools at Muir, died Sunday morning of acute appendicitis. He was stricken Saturday afternoon while in the office of County School Commissioner E. M. Brake at the county courthouse. He was hurried home, where after a night of pain, he died at about 10 o’clock Sunday morning. He was 51 years of age. Mr. Bronson had been subject to attacks of sickness since a siege with typhoid fever 10 years ago. The attending physician advised an operation early Sunday, and a specialist was en route to Muir from Grand Rapids at the time death occurred. The family came to Muir from Tekonsha and this was Mr. Bronson’s third year in charge of the Muir schools, in which position he was eminently successful. Surviving him besides the widow are two daughters, Beatrice and Eleanor, and two sons. A brother and sister, who live in California, are on their way to Muir, and funeral arrangements have not been definitely arranged, pending their arrival. The Muir schools have been closed for the week.
