Ionia Standard, 28 Feb 1890

R.H. Brooks, a member of Dresser Post G.A.R. and a former resident of Lyons, died 
in Lansing last Monday.  Mr. Brooks was an old army friend of F.T. Gleason of 
this place and it is said that he at one time saved his life while both were 
prisoners at Andersonville.
