He was at the home of Frank Hall, on State road, one mile north of city, where he had gone for a visit. His age was 22, and he was unmarried. He was in employ of P.M. railroad at round house. The remains will be removed to the home of his sister, Mrs. Henry Robertson, Ionia township. Brief service will be held there at 2 p.m. Sunday, followed by service at Church of Christ, at 3. The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen will attend in a body. The funeral service for Hugh Brooks, at Church of Christ, Sunday afternoon, was largely attended, the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen attending in a body, and escorting remains from the church to the grave in Oakhill cemetery; the bearers, selected from the order, were: George Voyzey, Walter Voyzey, John Galloway and Wm. Bensinger. The service was by Rev. G.W. Moore, and the singing by church choir. There were many beautiful floral testimonials.
