Orin Stone, Ionia undertaker, was called to Sparta and it was expected that the funeral will be held in Ionia, although no definite plans had been announced at noon Thursday. Mr. Brooks was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathanial Brooks and born in Ionia. He retired from farming a few years ago and for several years had lived in Sparta. Surviving are the widow; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Tibbits, of Washington, D. C., and Mrs. James Taylor, of Honolulu. Mrs. Brooks was formerly Dean Hinman. At the time of his death definite plans had been made to spend the winter in Honolulu. He was a member of the Ionia Church of Christ and of the Masonic Order. Subsequent Publication: September 15, 1933 Funeral services for Dwight Z. Brooks, former Ionia county farmer and city merchant here, who died Thursday morning in Sparta, will be held Sunday, 12:30, at the Sparta home and 3 o’clock in the Ionia Church of Christ. Burial will be in Highland Park cemetery under Masonic auspices.
