The Ionia Standard, Friday, January 25, 1918
Rev. C. C. Buckner conducted the funeral service for Mrs. Mary Jane Brooks at 
her late home Wednesday afternoon, the music being furnished by Mrs. George 
Fox.  The bearers were Vere Brooks, Arthur Wood, B. H. Segar and Rudolph 
Johnson.  Here from outside the city were Mrs. David Steele and Mr. and Mrs. 
George Wood of St. Johns, A. L. Davis and Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Segar of Grand 
Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Wood and Arthur of Greenville, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. 
Wood of Lansing.
