Vicilea Kay “Vicki” Brooks, 59, of Edmore, died Friday, May 9, 2008, from
accidental injuries received in an auto accident on Lake Montcalm Road near
Crystal Road.  She was born Nov. 4, 1948, in Ionia, the daughter of Russell E.
and Leona M. (Gallop) Utter.  She married Clifford E. “Kip” Brooks on Oct. 17,
1982, in Stanton.  Vicki has been a resident of the Edmore area since 2001.  She
was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister
and will be missed by all of her family and all of the friends who knew her. 
She loved her special pet, Bee-Bee.

She is survived by her parents, Russell E. and Leona M. Utter of Fenwick;
husband, Clifford E. Brooks; daughter, Kimberly J. and Kevin M. Clery of Mason;
son, Kirk L. and Sabrina A. Nummer of Gowen; seven grandchildren; one
great-granddaughter; sister, Bonnie M. and Bill Wright Sr. of Stanton; four
brothers, Russell E. Jr. and Linda Utter of Texas, Randy W. Utter of Butternut,
Rudy W. and Cathy Utter of Texas; Royce J. Utter of Fenwick; in-laws, Jack and
Donna Brooks, Clare and Sharon Brooks, Norman and Joyce Brooks, all of Stanton;
plus several nieces and nephews; and her beloved pet Bee-Bee.  She was preceded
in death by her in-laws, Ray and Fern Brooks; and a brother-in-law, Guy Brooks.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Simpson Family Funeral Home,
Sheridan, with the Rev. Jim VandeWarker officiating.  Final interment will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Sheridan.  Visitation will be at 10 a.m., one hour prior to
the funeral service Wednesday at the funeral home.  Simpson Family Funeral Home
is honored to serve the Brooks family with care and compassion during their time
of loss and bereavement.
