The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, August 8, 1950


Mrs. Hattie Brooks, 76, of Ronald township, died Monday, August 7, in Blodgett 
Hospital, Grand Rapids, following an illness of two months.  She had been a 
hospital patient the past week.

Mrs. Brooks was born March 5, 1874, in Otisco township, and had always lived in 
Ionia county. 

She is survived by a stepdaughter, Marian E. Aldrich, of Berlin, and a sister-
in-law, Mabel Younger, of Belding.  Mr. Brooks died May 11, 1950.

Rev. H. S. Elis of Belding officiated at the funeral service held Thursday 
afternoon from Myers Funeral Home.  Burial was in Highland Park cemetery.
