Dies After Surgery

James Randall Brooks, son of the late William R. and Lillian Brooks of Saranac, 
was born Aug. 22, 1900 and died at Blodgett Hospital Saturday following major 
chest surgery, Feb. 12th.

Mrs. Brooks came to Clarksville and operated a bakery and restaurant before his 
marriage to Mildred Hershberger in November 1928. For many year he has been 
employed in factories. 

He is survived by his wife, Mildred, one sister, Mrs. Mary Pinckney, of 
California and a brother, Stanley of Saranac, nieces and nephews.

Services for Mr. Brooks were held Monday, March 1 at 2 o'clock at the 
Clarksville Bible Church with the Rev. Donald Mathis officiating with burial in 
the Clarksville Cemetery.
