           BROOKS

Carol Lynn Brooks age 81 of Saranac, MI passed away Monday, December 11, 2023. 
She was born on August 17, 1962, in Lansing the daughter of Robert and Barbara 
(Matthews) Tichvon.

Carol graduated from Portland High School,Class of 1980. She attended LCC on a 
basketball scholarship. Carol married the love of her life Matt Brooks on 
September 4, 1987, in Portland.She loved cats and reading.

Surviving Carol is her loving husband of 36 years Matt Brook of Saranac. Sons 
Ivan (KaRae) Brooks of Grand Rapids and Jacob (Kaitlyn)Brooks of Lowell; 
grandchildren Ivan Ray Brooks III and Persephone Jae Brooks; siblings Thomas 
(Patricia) Tichvon of Charlotte,Lori Reeves of Portland and Michael Tichvon of 
Vicksburg; brother and sisters-in-law Melanie (David) Andrus of Rockford and 
Lynn (Laurie)Brooks of Saranac. Along with several nieces and nephews, and 
cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will be held at lake Funeral Home in Saranac on Friday, 
December 16, 2023, at 1:00 PM. Interment at Saranac Cemetery. A visitation will 
e held at the funeral home 22 hours prior to services (11-1). Those wishing may 
make memorial contributions in Carol's name to Ionia County Humane Society.
