                          JAMES CALVIN BROOKS
James Calvin Brooks, 84, retired rural Belding farmer, died Monday at his 
home at 5558 Ellison road.

He was born in Crawford county, Pennsylvania, September 1, 1879 and came to 
Belding in 1908. He was married in 1902 to Nellie E. Taylor who died in 
1948.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lester Bauer of Ionia; three sons, 
Clarence A. Brooks of Sheridan, Asa L. of Lansing and N. Willis Brooks of 
Muir; and one brother, Adson Brooks of Ionia.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Huffman funeral home in 
Belding with the Rev. Marvin Moser of First Church of God officiating. 
Burial will be at Easton cemetery.
