Edna Eulalie Brooks, of Lake Odessa, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015 after
a short illness, at age 87.  She was born to Orvie and Clara (Steele) Dillenbeck
on July 7, 1928 and she graduated from Lake Odessa High School in 1945.  She
married Harry Brooks on July 22, 1946 in Jeffersonville, IN.

Edna worked for many years as a cashier/clerk for Felpausch, A&P and IGA stores.
 Edna enjoyed her family as well as her hobbies of crocheting, knitting, jigsaw
puzzles, gardening and having her annual garage sales as she enjoyed meeting new
people.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Serena Essalie (Howard)
Goodenough, Neva Rosalie Barry (Andy) Stutz; son-in-law, Jim Born.  

Edna is survived by Harry, her husband of 69 years; son, Robert (Sue Baker)
Brooks; daughter, Beverly (Frank) Williams; daughter, Nancy Born; grandson, Todd
(fiancee Jennifer Jackson) Brooks; granddaughter, Chala Garner (John) Heilman;
great grandchildren, Sebastion Heilman, Felicha (fiance Alex Mason) Heilman and
Mitchel Brooks; great-great granddaughter, Melanie Mason.

Following Edna’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
 Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa.  For those desiring,
memorial contributions may be directed to Eaton Community Palliative Care at
2675 S. Cochran Road, Charlotte, MI 48813 in Edna’s name.
