Ionia Sentinel Standard, 12 May 1950

Ivan J. Brooks, 67, of State Road, died at 2:15 p.m. Thursday at the Ionia
County memorial hospital where he had been a patient for only a few hours.  He
was born July 10, 1882, in Kent county and had lived on the present farm home
for 43 years.

Surviving is the wife, Harriet A.; a daughter, Mrs. Frank Aldrich of Berlin
township; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Geneva Moshier of St. Johns and
Miss Gertrude Brooks at the farm home; and two brothers, Manfred at the farm
home and Archie B.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from Myers funeral home.  The
Rev. H.S. Ellis [missing line] ment will be in Highland Park cemetery.
