The Ionia Weekly Standard, Friday, March 8, 1907

The remains of Louis Brose were brought to Ionia on Monday, from Grand Rapids, 
for interment, being accompanied by the bereaved wife, Mr. and Mrs. Robert 
Brose, and sisters, Anna and Mary Brose.  The funeral service was at the 
Church of SS. Peter & Paul.  

Death was from pneumonia contracted in December, last.  To appearances he was 
gaining strength, and plans were being made for a trip to California for him 
in the immediate future, but a relapse carried him off.  

The bearers were Frank M. Wirtz, Theophil Banhagel, Frank Biehler, Jr., and 
John Jessel.

Louise Brose, aged 30 years, a brother of Mrs. Ed Banhagel of this city, died 
at Grand Rapids on Thursday evening at 6:30.  The remains arrived on 7:38 
train on Monday morning, and taken hence to the Church of SS. Peter & Paul for 
funeral service.  interment in Catholic cemetery.
