The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, January 7, 1958
Mrs. Lottie Brower, 86, died Monday at noon at her home in Saranac after a 
lengthy illness.  Mrs. Brower was born February 3, 1871 in New York City, a 
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Whitby and came to Clarksville when a small 
child.

Survivors are her daughter, Mrs. Ferne Greene; a sister, Mrs. Nina Benson, and 
a brother, Otis Whitby, all of Saranac, two granddaughters, Mrs. Marilyn Bovee 
of Lowell and Mrs. Cheryl Butcher of Saranac; a grandson, Orin Greene, and 
four great-grandchildren.  Mr. Brower died in 1941.

Funeral service will be held at the Morris funeral home Wednesday at 2:30 and 
interment will be in the Saranac cemetery.  The Rev. Glenn McCarty will 
officiate.
