The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, May 19, 1976

Winifred A. Brown, 89, of 2577 Sunfield highway, route 2, died May 18 at her 
home. She was born September 18, 1886, in Ionia county, the daughter of 
William Croel and Emmeline Way.  Her husband, Rev. James A. Brown, preceded 
her in death.  She was a retired school teacher and worked many years as a 
gray lady at the Ionia Memorial hospital.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Wooll of Plymouth; two 
grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at the LeValley United Methodist church at 1:30 
p.m.  Interment will be at Tuttle cemetery, Rev. Dr. Lloyd G. Walker 
officiating.  Bearers will be Robert James; Steven, Dannon, Russell, Robert 
and Bruce Croel.

Arrangements are being made by the Neller funeral home in Portland where the 
body reposes until 10 a.m. Thursday.
