Brown Monday night, aged 75 years, of cancer. She was born in Vermont, and was the wife of Reuben Brown, who died a year ago last July, and were old residents of Otisco, living near Smyrna about 24 years, moving to their farm there from Wisconsin. She has been afflicted for eight months, one cancer having been removed. She leaves one son, Charles Brown, and two daughters, Marion L. Fulton of Carson City and Mrs. Chas. Dumon of Smyrna. The funeral services were held at the residence Wednesday at 10 o’clock a.m., Rev. Duryea who preached the funeral sermon of her husband, officiating, the Smyrna choir singing appropriate hymns. The interment was at Smyrna cemetery, the pall bearers being the same as conveyed the remains of her husband to their last resting place, having been chosen by him to act in that capacity. Another pioneer has gone, leaving many friends to mourn her departure.
