She had been in failing health for some time. She was born in New York state in 1844 and came to Michigan when she was a young woman and has resided on the same farm in Easton township since. She was one of the first members of the Easton community Methodist church and she donated the land on which the church was built. Mr. Brown died several years ago. Surviving are three sons, Dr. Walker Brown and Alvy Brown, at home; and Dr. Ira Brown of Chicago; and two daughters, Mrs. Amy McMann at home and Mrs. Emily Austin of Detroit. Funeral services will be held from the Easton community church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock and burial will be at Easton cemetery.
