The Portland Observer, Thursday, March 19, 1936

Archie L. Brown, 60, well known Sebewa farmer, died at his home in that 
township late Wednesday afternoon following a year’s illness from a 
complication of diseases.  Funeral services will be held from the Sebewa M. E. 
church Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Burial will be made in Danby cemetery.  
Mr. brown was born in Sebewa and had spent his entire lifetime in this 
vicinity.  Thirty-five years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Edith West 
who survives him.  Two brothers and two sisters also survive, Herbert Brown, 
of Sebewa; Ira Brown, of near Grand Ledge; Mrs. Evelyn DeGraw of Harvard, 
Michigan, and Mrs. Eben Krausz, residing north of Portland near Collins.  
Morris West, of Portland, is a brother-in-law.
