Brown, 83, of Sunfield, died Sept. 7, 2005 at a Charlotte nursing home following a long illness. Mrs. Brown was born inSebewa Township Dec. 16, 1921, a daughter of Fred C. and Nora A. (Ritenburgh) Sindlinger. She was a graduate of Lake Odessa High School, earned a bachelor of science degree from Western Michigan University and educational specialist degree from Michigan State University. Mrs. Brown taught in Ionia and Macomb counties. Her interests included travel, gardening, oil painting and libraries. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lucile (Kenneth) Warren. Surviving are her husband, Wayne; sons, Bill (Carol) Brown of Sunfield, Fred (Patricia) Brown of Perry, Gary (Janet) Brown of Lyons; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and sister, Mildred Rice of Portland. Memorial service were held Sept. 10 at Barker-Leik Funeral Home Mulliken. Interment following in Danby Cemetery. Honorary bearers were her grandchildren, Wade, Matthew and Seth Brown, Brooks Brown, Hannah Morales, Whitney, Andrea and Micha Brown, Brian, Aaron and Derek Brown.
