Burial will be in Easton cemetery. Services were also held at the First Methodist church in Kalamazoo Friday where she was a member, and conducted by Rev. Stanley M. Coors. Miss brown was born in Easton 54 years ago March 27. After completing her Ionia high school education and work at a finishing school, she went to Kalamazoo in 1902 to teach mathematics and grammar, studying at intervals at the University of Michigan, and completing work for her degree. In 1917 she was made principal of the school in which she was teaching and was still serving the school in this capacity at the time of her death. Miss Brown was taken ill while on duty in the school, and had to be taken home. He brother, Ira, of Chicago, is a chiropractor, and was called to Kalamazoo the first of the week and returned leaving his sister much improved but Tuesday a turn came for the worse and she steadily failed. She leaves her mother, Mrs. Katherine Brown of Easton; brothers, Ira, of Chicago; Alvah, of Easton; Walter, of Evanston, Ill.; two sisters; Mrs. Emily Austin, of Detroit and Mrs. Amy L.
