Brown, aged 58 years old, a well known local lady died in the hospital at Grand Rapids, Saturday following an operation for goiter which had been performed that day. Mrs. Brown had been a sufferer from goiter for a long time back and the operation was performed in the hopes of a restoration of health. Mrs. Brown was a prominent woman in social circles, being a member of the Grange, O.E.S., and a number of farmers clubs, she having resided with her husband on their fine farm west of this city for a number of years. Several years ago they gave up farm work and moved into this city and recently purchased the Chapman property on Pearl street for their home. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon and interment in the Lowell cemetery. She is survived by her mother, one brother, Frank Daniels and her husband, who together with a host of friends mourn their loss. Mr. Brown has the sympathy of the entire community in his great loss.
